The Bankura elephant is a companion to the famous Bankura horse — a heavier, rounded body, short legs and a hand-painted howdah and harness.
Made by hand from local clay, dried in the shade and fired, then finished with hand-painted detail. The surface keeps the texture of working hands: small tool marks, soft edges, the matte grain of fired terracotta.
A quiet, grounded piece for a shelf, a sideboard or a tabletop arrangement.
